Been going there for a few years now after Walmart did me dirty... Fast, accommodating, took me as a walk-in last time I went in, and it was also like, 30 minutes before they closed. Very polite and they do tires too!

The technicians here were kind and professional! I knew exactly what I would be spending before any work was done. They even offered me a ride home to wait for the service to be completed and picked me up once my vehicle was ready! The technician who picked me up was more excited about the work done than I was, LoL! The work was necessary for the vehicle's safety so I had no options.Unfortunately, I could not scan their QR code to leave my review. Aside from that this was a very positive experience for me. Give them a shot if you haven't already!

I had to get my tired repaired and whenever I went to go pay my credit card wouldn't work. Tried 3 different times and it wouldn't work. So I called my credit card company and they said it was closed because I never used it. As I was on the phone with the credit card company the gentlemen at the desk just said that he was going to waive the tire repair and shook my hand. I was very great full because I didn't have any cash on me and didn't know how I was going to pay for it. Thanks CarX!
I was able to receive the best costumer service and maintenance on my car. The staff is very educated on the way to treat cars. I have gone 3 times to get my oil change and someone they are the bestI will invite others to come here.

Stopped in at 4:30pm on a Friday to try my luck and see if anyone was available to diagnose the clanking noise that was coming from underneath my vehicle every time I started the engine. I was told both mechanics were out on workmanâs comp and instead of completely dismissing me, they told me that theyâd be happy to have another employee check it out. Within 5 minutes they were able to diagnose and repair the issue at no cost. This is one of many reasons that although I live right around the corner from the Charleston Car X, I will always be returning to the Mattoon location. Thanks guys, youâre awesome!
Employees are nice. The waiting area has a toy area for kids which is a good feature. It is first come first serve, I got there just after 8:00 a.m. and i was done within 30 minutes for an oil change. It's expensive it was $94 for a full synthetic oil change I could have gone somewhere else and paid a lot less except everywhere else as appointments and had nothing available, so I guess that extra $20-$30 was a convenience fee.
Huge shout out to the crew at Mattoon, Illinois! I stopped at Charleston first, and they treated me like I was breathing their air. Mattoon went above and beyond. I got my oil changed, new tires, tie rod end, and alignment. They are super friendly and explain things in English! I highly recommend Mattoon CarX Tire & Auto. Their prices are fair and they treat you with nothing but respect.

This was my first time at Car-X and I was totally pleased. I have always taken my car to the dealership to get the oil changed because they also do a thorough inspection. I did not have the time so I stopped in at Car-X in Mattoon, told them what I needed and they immediately told me to pull the car in.I only waited about 15 minutes for them to complete my car while waiting in their little area which was very clean and had a TV. I was out of there in about 20 minutes. It came to $48.52 for the 5W30 Valvoline Oil that the car requires. This was just what I wanted, a place with the fastness of the Oil Change places that I used to go to in Champaign.
Got me in quickly.... but beware...expensive. With a $10 coupon and tax added it was about $86!!! 😳😳😳 No complaints about the service just haven't ever paid that much for an oil change...my dealership doesn't even cost that much!
I had an unexpected repair that I needed after driving through some flood waters. It had pulled the plastic cover down from the underneath of my car and was dragging on the ground. I stopped in and they got me into the shop pretty quick, was super polite and helpful and got me back on the road in no time at all
Iâve been coming here for years now, theyâre always pretty quick with the oil change and very affordable. They do a free general inspection of your car as well which is great. Iâve also had my brakes fixed here before as well, I came back from a trip out of town and they were able to work my car in the next day and had it done in one day. Couldnât ask for better service than that!
They were able to get me in for a complete set of tires the same day I called.
I was traveling out of town on my way to a funeral for my grandmother when I noticed my tire pressure going off. They were able to get my tires replaced in a reasonable time for a reasonable price and were very professional and courteous. Definitely would recommend anyone to do business here.

Jason the manager at Car X is awesome and service was exemplary and very reasonable price!!After confirming with Walmart they could replace headlight bulbâthe had me go to auto zone to get bulb and then after driving 20 miles they informed me that I needed to sign a $1000 waiver as they needed to remove my bumper etc priorâI refused and called Car X they said to stop in and when getting there in less than ten minutes my light was fixed!!! Jason the manager was awesome and price was reasonable especially for this seniorâWalmart just lost my auto business!! THANK You!!

I adore this group of people. Always so accommodating and kind and willing to explain in English exactly what's going on. They even fix other shops mistakes... no problem giving 5 stars and will continue to go here for my oil changes.

Amazing!! Saved our vacationMy sister and I were traveling when our tire light came on. We stopped at the nearest Tire shop. They were the most helpful people. When our tire was not in stock, they went above and beyond to get us to our destination. If it wasn't for Casey and Harley, we would not have made the deadline for the trip. They not only calmed us down, but took care of all the details and got us on the road while our car was waiting for the tire. We switched vehicles on the way back! I can not thank them enough. HIGHLY recommend.

The last thing any one wants to do is get their car worked on, but when you encounter the best professional workers, it takes the ease off. I will always return to CarX for any job! I cannot say enough about my awesome experience! I called and Matt was professional and very knowledgeable! I dropped off my car for new tires and had them check the brakes. He called and said, âmy brakes are fine but there were some other issues.â What I absolutely loved he said âthey are not serious, so if you donât want to replace the other issues you do need too.â He wasnât out to make an extra buck or take advantage. When I came into pay he even explained what was fixed and even showed me a display of how it works! On top of that when I paid he applied discounts (Coupons they offer) without me even asking! So nice!!! I was blown away by the excellent customer service and personal interest!
