Understanding how your exhaust system works…

A working exhaust system is complex and is responsible for performing a number of functions. It must carry engine gases safely to the rear of the vehicle, reduce noise, maintain engine performance, and reduce or eliminate emissions.

Factors like climate, terrain and whether the system is single or dual, all effect the life of an exhaust system. The typical life expectancy of an exhaust system is anywhere from two to three years, but again, results vary.
