They did a complimentary inspection on a used car we just purchased. Brought me into the garage to show me general things about the car and also how the lower engine shield was missing and a fog light was cracked. Otherwise the rest looked good. Super helpful inspection and info. Thank you!On a separate occasion, we brought our old car here and they correctly diagnosed the issue and said it wasnât worth it to fix it because it was an internal engine issue with oil and coolant mixing. They said we should really just get a new car. They charged us nothing and had nothing to gain so appreciated the honesty. The reason I know they correctly diagnosed is because we brought it somewhere else for a second opinion and they had a different take. Of course we liked the news so we paid for a coolant flush. When a few of those didnât work, ended up paying for a new radiator. Problem of no heat in car was fixed for a little over a month and then it came back again. Brought it to a third place and they also thought it just needed a flush to finish getting all the grime out. But nothing would work and they then came to the same conclusion as Car-x. We should have trusted the guys at this Elgin Car-x from the start!
Wolf, Miguel, and Tony made the whole process so easy. I observed their interactions with every customer (had a 4-5 hour repair), and you can tell they really care about their community. I would feel comfortable sending my family here. I've never had a mechanic show me exactly what he was doing, thanks Tony.
The Employees at Car X were amazing! My appointment was for Saturday at 7:30 am, but because I dropped my car off on Friday they started working on it immediately. The got the job done super fast as well. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.

Came in to fix a sudden flat tire, they immediately gave me a warm welcome and got to work on my car. They found more issues with the car and after I gave them the green light, for the wait they offered me a soda! I was very impressed and pleased with such wonderful customer service and quality of work that they provided me. Isaiah, Pj, and David were all excellent in my first time coming to their shop and will be coming back again. Please keep up the fantastic work!!

I'm late in writing this. I was in town visiting friends and started hearing noises from my brakes. It was a Saturday afternoon and I didn't want to continue driving. I went to CarX. It turns out my indicator pin had broken off so I never got the normal "squeal" as my pads got low. There were literally no pads left. David completely took care of me. He explained everything, didn't try to upsell me, and treats me like I was his family. If I still lived in the area, this would be my go to shop. Thanks David.

Went in for an inspection since my car was making grinding noises whenever I made a left turn. Turns out a part of the cover was pressing against the tire. David and the team were able to fix it quickly, at no additional cost. Would recommend this place to others.
Came in for a tire change great service right from the start. They informed me that my battery was low gave me a quote and came back just as good service the second time highly recommend.

Yesterday was my first time here, I didn't have time to schedule an appointment, so I walked in, Ivan Corona was very helpful, Also noticed that I needed new tires and took the time to give me quotes!!! I recommend this place, excellent customer service! I will definitely be coming back.

I got new tires for a great price! And when I came in to install them the staff was incredibly welcoming, the manager David went above and beyond to show me what was wrong with the tires and explained everything so well. I am very happy with this specific car X location and staff.
They gave attention to details. Did exactly how I asked and very reasonably priced. Just talk to them (nicely) and tell them what you are looking for. They took care of every little concern I mentioned and made sure adhered to the instructions/requests while working on the car. Sorry I am a bit careful about my car but they didn't give me any reason to complain. Good peeps, good business, definitely recommend.
My car needed a lot of TLC after I was unable to drive it for two months over the summer. William was nice and professional and explained everything thoroughly, and even offered to check my brakes and belts free any time as they didn't need replacing quite yet but were looking a little worn. He even ran some coupons for me to shave a bit off the price! I'll definitely be coming back to this Car-X, I feel like I'm in good hands here.

Very honest and quick. I came for 2 tire repairs and Anthony was awsome. Most tire places will try and sell new tires for something that can be patched. Thank you again Anthony for helping us in a jam.
