I needed Air for 3days and didnât know how to do it and Iâm very cautious about my car due to it being my only source of income. I googled and found this place and called, Amber picked up and I explained that I donât know how to put air in my tires . Not only was Amber welcoming and understanding Amber also took the time and showed me how to do it myself. It is so amazing to have wonderful people like Amber and their co-worker (I forgot his name but he was awesome too). This is what comes to mind when I think about community. Thank you so much Amber 🥰

Fixed the problem of no heat in car. Noticed radiator hoses bad condition so I chose to replace. Said serpentine belt worn and cracked so I chose to replace, very happy with their expertise , professionalism and friendliness. Their service is excellent .

They also communicated with me consistently through the stages. I had an estimate for over $1300 at Firestone and Car-X took care of the car for a little over $600.
Wow! I had such an incredible experience at Car-x. Iâm a young woman, and Iâm always concerned that Iâll be ripped off when I take my car in for repair, due to my general lack of deep knowledge about cars. My car started loudly rattling last week, and I was concerned that the suspension system needed work. I emailed John, and he fit me in today, even though they were pretty booked up. I dropped the car off at 8 am, and I got a call at 9:10 am (a little over an hour later!) saying that my car was ready to pick up. I went to pick it up, and John and his colleague let me know that they tightened a loose plate that was rattling around, and that they âwouldnât be able to sleep at night if they charged me for itâ. I was floored by their efficiency, generosity, and professionalism. I work at a advocacy nonprofit, and every dollar counts. Iâm truly so grateful to John and Car-x, and I will be coming back soon for future repair and maintenance. Highly recommend this shop!
I was told a full synthetic oil change would take a couple hours due to a full schedule that day, but this team hustled and got it done in under 30 minutes!! This team is polite, straightforward, and highly efficient. They are a wonder. Thanks, all.

Great experience all around! They were upfront about pricing, had a quick turnaround time, and my car is running well now so seems the issue has been resolved.I dealt with Patrick at the desk and he fully explained what they did to troubleshoot the issue and was transparent from the start about pricing. He also was friendly and straightforward about my options. At no point did they try to tack on additional services either, which wouldn't have been a deal breaker, but is nice not to deal with.I typically go to a locally owned shop down the street from here that is not a franchise or chain, so was a bit hesitant to go to a Car-X expecting higher prices. However, I had the same repair done at my regular place but on a different cylinder and Car-X even ended up being slightly cheaper. I definitely would go back here for future repairs.

Car X is fire. They are so kind and helpful. Iâve been there multiple times and itâs always been a great experience. The most recent time nothing was really wrong with the car, I just brought it in because obviously iâm inexperienced and didnât know much and they were completely honest and told me nothing needed to be repaired. They didnât charge me at all for that! I love Pat also, such a kind person!

I had an excellent experience. Scheduling with John on the phone was simple; he was honest about when they could realistically work on my car. I needed help to find a dead rodent (ugh), so it was a job of unknown magnitude. Not all shops will quote you their labor rate upfront, but this Car-X did. Together we agreed on a time budget for the search, which succeeded, and they confirmed no other damage to my vehicle. Though the job than a little over our agreed time, they didn't charge me the difference.Thanks to Pat, Billy, and the whole team!

Our favorite local shop BY FAR! These guys are trustworthy, knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. We brought our vehicle here when we first moved into town 5 years ago out of convenience, and have been coming back ever since.

They are very knowledgable and honest, they will never try to sell you more than what your car needs. In fact, when my husband and I were car shopping a few years ago, we would bring the cars we were interested in for them to take a look at them, and after we brought a few cars they stopped charging us! Also, one time my Ford Escape seemed to have a computer issue, so they took a look at it, fixed it and didn't charge me anything because the problem was so minor and easy to fix. I mean, who does that?! They're just awesome and helpful. Thanks Pat, John and all of your team!
Going here is one of the best experiences Iâve ever had with an auto shop. Genuine employees who donât give you incorrect information just to make a quick buck. They provide insightful information about the repairs your vehicle needs and they always go above and beyond - from the second you drop off your car to the moment you pick it up. Great auto shop that values good customer relationships over a quick buck. They are always up front and honest about options. They never try to push unneccesary or optional repairs. The prices are very fair.
I couldn't say enough good things about Car-X on E Lake... and it's completely unacceptable that I have waited this long to leave them a review. We have gone many times as we live only a couple blocks away, and they have always taken on our "something is making a weird noise" inquiries with a smile and grace. Twice we have gone in and they did not charge us a dime but told us what was wrong, and one of those two times they even welded some piece of our alternator back on that was causing the rattling. They just told us it was a manufacturer error and fixed it. Also Pat, who I have often seen working the front desk, is super friendly and is always willing to answer any question. I hope everyone who reads this goes and gives them some business, they are a great shop!! Thank you Car-X!!

My uncles own a garage and I run anything that's a bigger deal past them. They have always agreed with the diagnosis, suggested fix, and price. I also really appreciate that the guys at this Car-X are respectful and have never assumed I don't know anything about cars just because I'm a woman. For other women and femme-presenting people out there, I have never been looked down on here.

I was really impressed with this shop. I just moved here and had a flat tire. I had no clue as to where to get it fixed, so I turned to Google and saw the rave reviews here. Well, they are right - this place was a godsend. They fixed my tire in no time for a very reasonable price and were super pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be using them again - I'm so happy I found this shop!
Very kind and helpful staff. They didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need like many auto shops try to do. They were very honest about what could be wrong but didn't want to replace it unless they knew for sure it was fixed. Will be going back to Car-X for any maintenance I need on my vehicle.

I had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend their services to anyone needing auto work done. My car wouldn't start early in the morning before work, and the kind folks at Car-X were able to give me towing recommendation and get to work on my car right away. They contacted me after diagnosing the issue (dead battery) and made recommendations, then offered to take care of my routine maintenance needs (oil change, tire pressure check, fluids, etc.).They got the job done fast, were incredibly professional and kind, and even bumped my car ahead of schedule so I could get to work for a half day. I so appreciated their kindness and patience in explaining everything to me and not trying to overcharge me for what I didn't need. I will definitely be taking my car to Car X Tire & Auto for all my future needs.
