Feel terrible I forgot to review the very awesome experience I had at this location.Had exhaust work done on my old 9& ram it was nice how the tech worked with me and kept me in the loop his work ethic was great . The entire experience was great from the front desk ( manager)to me driving away very happy . Iâll be going back for level kit and tires possibly. Thanks👍
These guys are really nice that work here. They go the extra mile to help. Some garages won't give customers the time of day. They are helpful and courteous here. Thank you Car X !
Called on a Tuesday morning and they got me my ideal appointment time for the following Thursday! Even better, they had identified the problem in about 10 minutes (even though they were quite busy) and completed the repair in an unbelievably quick period of time. Upon driving home, the horrid sound my brakes had been making was completely gone and I could notice when braking, it was much smoother and more responsive than they had been. Have not any problems yet and I am not worried as they offer a very generous 12,000 mile or 12 month (whichever comes first) warranty! Would absolutely recommend and will absolutely be returning for any future repair needs!

I was very pleased with the service I received at. CarX on Linton Ave. in Springfield IL. I appreciated getting an appointment as quickly as I did, and my service was done in a timely manner. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. I will be making other appointments with them in the future.
Had a pre purchase used car inspection. The tech was thorough and explained all his findings. Explained upcoming maintenance issues and showed me underneath the vehicle. He even took the time to figure out the remote start key fob. Very good experience .
My heater was not working so I asked to have my antifreeze checked. The mechanic explained in detail how he released an air bubble from the line. No charge and my heat is working great. It is wonderful to be able to trust CarX for good, honest service. Thank you.
Having a child with special needs is hard. Dealing with their needs from 1100 miles away, IS VERY HARD, but the staff at Car-x were kind enough to take payment over-the-phone, so that we could get a much needed oil change. Great working with them!
The folks at this Car-X location are so kind and helpful! I was passing through Springfield when my tire light came on: they very kindly let me bring my car in immediately without an appointment, and had a mechanic come to check out and fill up all of my tires right away--and they did so without charging me! The location itself is very convenient (not far off the highway, and also an easy drive from downtown), the facility was clean and pleasant with a nice spacious waiting area, and I can't say enough about how kind, efficient, and helpful everyone was. They could have easily made me wait or charged me for my drop-by, but they did neither, which I so much appreciated--excellent, prompt, and kind service makes this a shop I'll always go back to if I have car trouble in Springfield! Highly recommend!
They fixed my muffler that was very old. 1st tech wanted 3000 to fix it but the awesome manager took a 2nd look and was abke to weld a piece back on and get it quiet again for 120 dollars. Way better. Thanks for working with me.
These guys got me in quickly, even though they didn't need, and fixed my slowly leaking tire for a very descent price. They had to look for it, but finally found the very small nail in the deep tread. I think I was in and out in less than an hour. Not the first time I have been to Car-X, and not the last.
As the owner of Mosquito Squad, anytime there's a problem with one of our fleet trucks that I can't personally resolve myself, I always take it to the guys at Car-X. They are extremely fast with their service and every time I get a call back the same day or the day after I drop it off. Down-time on a truck is very inconvenient for business but they always move quickly and leave me very impressed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
CarX on Linton is the only car repair shop we trust 100% for anything we need! Weâve been going to them for nearly 20 years! (And living in Sherman, itâs worth the drive!). (And now our adult sons go there!). They keep a lot of employees consistently, rarely new faces, which makes me think they take good care of their employees, which means a lot to me also!!
I was in need of a new muffler with a quick turnaround time. The crew at Car X was extremely helpful and attentive. They got me all taken care of and back on the road in a very timely fashion--and at an extremely reasonable price as well!! Wayne, Dave and Drew were wonderful to work with. Every experience I've had at CarX has been quick and professional and I've watched them actively choose honesty over the chance to make a quick buck. The first time I came in for an oil change I witnessed another woman come in for an oil change. Once they took her information, they explained to her that she had synthetic oil and didn't need an oil change for another 4000 miles. Last year, when I was in town, I had a flat and after they found no leaks in my tire, they resealed the inner part, charged me $20, and I had no problems with that tire all the way back to the east coast. They choose to actually help me instead of making me buy a new tire I didn't need. For that, they'll always have my business when I'm in town and my highest recommendation as an honest business that doesn't try to screw women over like a lot of other places.
My engine light was blinking and they got my car in immediately. Diagnosed the problem which was my engine coil. And they fixed it. A little pricey but there service was amazing this is why I'll give them a 5. If u are in Springfield Illinois and have a car problem go to carx.
I had a very positive experience at Car-X. The check engine light came on in my car. They gave me an appointment within a few hours of calling, the employees were very cordial, and they replaced cylinder 2 and changed my oil in less than 2 hours of dropping my car off, all for around $300.Amazing!! I saved their number in my phone, and will be going back there for future repairs.
Every time I take my vehicle here for something they're always quick and they communicate promptly, which is a big deal to me. Most car places I feel like they've forgotten about me or they try to milk me for more than needs done. This CarX is fantastic and they'll be keeping my business.
I can't begin to express how grateful I am for the guys here. They helped me out when I was in a really bad spot. Traveling and almost broke. They went above and beyond to help me get back on the road at a very reasonable price and unbelievably fast too. Not to mention other accommodations that were not even part of the auto repair ie burger King ( thanks bro)! God bless Wayne and all his staff for being such incredible people.
I recently moved here, and had no idea where to go when my brakes suddenly went bad. After reading reviews, I chose this CarX. I didn't have an appointment, and it was a Saturday, so I wasn't sure when they would be able to get to my car. Dave was very polite on the phone, again when I came in, and assured me that they would work me in. They were working with a skeleton crew, and shorter hours on Saturday, but were able to get right on it. Drew was the technician that worked on my car, and he went above and beyond to let me know/show me exactly what was wrong, and what was still right with my brakes. It wasn't as bad as I had feared, because it sounded awful. To be honest, I was in no hurry, and could have left my car if need be, but two hours later Drew called to tell me she was ready to go! Excellent service, excellent people skills... something you don't find everywhere. I highly recommend this CarX. Thanks guys!
CAR-X at 750 E Linton Ave, Springfield, IL 62703 was exceptionally nice and accommodated me on a very short notice. I have been visiting my son on a Sunday and had to return to Chicago the next day when I have serious grinding noise from under the Odyssey. I called few places Monday morning and they all told me they are booked for the whole week. I do not know why car repair shops won't accommodate urgencies. I then called this Car-X location and Dave was extremely nice and told me to bring the car in. He went out of his way to take care of me and within an hour I had my rear brake drums and pads replaced for a reasonable price. The work was professionally done and I could drive back home Monday itself. I couldn't be more satisfied. I would certainly recommend this shop for anyone. They do care. Thank you

Great service!!! Super fast turn around on repairs. They keep in contact with you the entire time so there are no surprises when you pick up your vehicle. The staff was super friendly as well. Very easy to establish a personal report with. Also, and here is what I love the most, the only auto shop to ever reach out after a repair was completed just to check up on my vehicle and make sure everything was kosher. That's service beyond the sale! They have earned a life long loyal customer for sure!
Staff was friendly. Service was done quickly and without problems. Called when the job was done. Better price and overall experience than at a dealership I went to previously. I will go back.
I believe this location will be my goto repair facility in the future. They have a warm front staff and I met a very competent technician, Drew, who test drove my car, duplicated the malfunction, and completed a repair estimate in an extremely short amount of time. I could not pursue the repair due to time constraints for today, bit I shall arrange a time when I am better suited to let them perform the repairs. As it stands, Drew added air to all four tires at my request and returned my keys and car and I was on the road, still a little rattle noisy, but totally road worthy and safe. Thanks guys!!

Truck was stolen and recovered. they were very accommodating while I waited for insurance company to get the approva.Once I got the approval to proceed the repairs were completed in 2 days which was amazing.I will always come back here for my auto needs !!!
Honest shop... the folks here have taken VERY good care of all our needs. No pressure to "pad the bill", only honest advice on what we should expect next. While I'm capable of doing simple repairs and oil changes, it is comforting to know that when these guys do the work I am getting so much more. Having the Car-X crew handle all of my service needs gives me "peace-of-mind". We trust them. We use them. You will too!

I was visiting from out of town and my heat went out with outside temperature in single digits. Got me in right away and changed out my bad thermostat. I was out in about an hour. This was one of the only repair shops open on a Saturday too. Very grateful.
I was from out of town and had a problem with my starter. They put a new starter in , they also let me know that I needed front brakes (as they could see when they were working), so they took care of both, had me back on the road the same day. Highly recommended this company! Very professional and personal.

I have used Car X on Linton Dr in Springfield for many years. I had tires replaced this last time. Excellent service. very rarely have I had anything done incorrectly and when I have they fixed it immediately. I would highly recommend Wayne and the rest of the crew! I was really in a pinch needing a new tire and some snapped lug bolts replaced on my car sense it was dangerous for me to be driving with only three out of five bolts. They were able to get me in on a Saturday and I was expecting to pay so much more! Super nice people! I will go there again and get my oil changed!
They are the best! I can always schedule an appointment and get in quickly. I have had a lot of work done over the years and I never have any problems with their service. They bend over backwards to take care of my vehicles. They present me with the costs of issues that I notified them of and any others they caught during the inspection then give me a run down of what is a priority and what can wait until a later date if money is an issue. Their prices are very competitive and they have kept my business with their excellent customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of car repairs!
I love the guys here. They do great work and donât try to sell you on things you didnât come or get checked out. The prices are always reasonable. Canât recommend them enough for car work. I wonât go anywhere else for car repairs and oil changes.

Love this place! I had a lot of issues with my 05 Ford escape. I took it in to get looked at and had 2000 dollars worth of repairs. I couldnt afford it all. They didnt make me feel guilty or pressured into doing it all. One of the most expensive things was the ignition coils. They replaced almost all of them, although they recommended I do all of them because it could cause issues, and everything was fine until the next morning when the others that they didnt replace went out. The manager was so nice to me and said that since I had spent so much money there he would fix it for free, and he did. Front desk guys are awesome and every mechanic who I've spoken to there, which is quite a lot, has been so kind. I highly recommend this place. It has been a few months and my car runs awesome!
My dad has been a customer since I can remember. He used to take all his company cars there and also our personal cars. Wayne has always been great to work with as well as all the other mechanics there. I would totally recommend Car X on 6th street (can not vouch for the 11th street location) for all your vehicle needs! P.S. If you have a problem he cannot fix (i.e. foreign vehicles), he will give great recommendations too(i.e. Floyd's Imports)!

Took a little longer than I thought but they did replace 4 tires they have free WiFi so I watched a lot of YouTube videos the guy at the desk was extremely nice the coffee was old but for that I'll give it four stars
